Volunteers add a special dimension to the care and comfort provided to our patients and their families. These specially trained, sensitive, caring individuals are often called the Heart of Hospice, exemplifying the spirit and mission of Sacred Journey Hospice.
Some of the services that our volunteers provide include:
- Administrative support
- Patient companion
- Spiritual care
- Caregiver relief
- Bereavement care
- Pet therapy
- Patient care assistance
- Respite care
- Massage therapy
- Art & music therapy
While we certainly enjoy and appreciate volunteers who wish to share their unique talents and gifts, the most important quality in a volunteer is having the "heart of a servant" and a willingness to help those in need.
